The Fashion Week Run-Through – BFW AW25/26

Far over 30 shows, exhibitions, parties and more with the coolest concepts and guests. Berlin Fashion Week AW25/26 showed up for yet another season and did not mess around. As the sheer number of events can make even the most dedicated fashionista feel dizzy, here is a list of the most important goings-on this past weekend with a one (or two) liner to give you a quick impression.

Here is everything you missed this weekend in the German fashion capital…

Kilian Kerner

The drama! Love to see it! Maybe less melodramatic music next season, but it also low-key slapped with the phenomenal silhouettes – absolute highlight: the flowers.

Danny Reinke

Edward Scissorhands moment. Fairy tales meet punk aesthetic – elegant draping and Swarovski crystal moments meet torn fabrics and wild hair styles.

Horror Vacui

What a horror to have missed this show! Patchwork capes, pattern overload and all the colours of the rainbow – my absolute dream turned nightmare when I didn’t manage to go to the show!

Marina Hoermanseder

10th year brand anniversary resulted in birthday themed collection with cake sculptures and Duolingo as surprise guest. Eclectic music selection. I’m sorry if you missed the after show party.

Sia Arnika

No wonder international celebrities like Kylie Jenner want a piece of this designer. Colour, a curling hem in the nude piece and a new blue must-have number – we thank you for your service.

Marcel Ostertag

Someone heard Aquatic Awe is trending for 2025, ran with it and did not pause to stumble. Marcel’s collections seem to get better and better every season.

Marc Cain

Blueprint for a successful fashion show. Alessandra Ambrosio, Céline Bethmann, effortlessly cool looks, fabulous soundtrack, definitely stands out from other Berlin shows alone for its production.

Vanessa Baernthol

Did not attend myself, but a close friend tells me it was an absolute PR nightmare with the show starting 2 (or more?) hours late… Take a look at the collection and decide for yourself whether the wait was worth it or not.

Balletshofer

Sunday vibes – croissants, newspaper and coffee for the models (did anyone see anything in the cup or was it empty? Good thing I am not a model, I would have been terrified of spilling). One of my favourite stagings but heard it was too packed.

OBS

Another staging sensation and classic Berlin: A construction site. Can you believe this was the brand’s BFW debut? Rarely seen such a good first season! Also the collection title “Dem Traum ein Stückchen näher” (“A little closer to the dream”) makes my heart ache in the most beautiful way.

COLRS

The F1 inspired “Pace of Life” collection brought some fresh wind into the season with Ciao Bella jackets I would totally buy for my SO (if I had one… might just get one for myself instead).

SF1OG

Redefining uniforms in a rebellious / indie way. Do I spy the return of shutter glasses? Not sure how to feel about that…

Kitschy Couture

Not a show but a pop-up this season which offered a beautifully intimate experience to get to know the team, try-on and shop some of the pieces.

Sveasøn

Dance performance with reconstructing the clothes the dancers were wearing! Definitely check out!

Nowrubi

Label on the rise with designs inspired by founder Ruben’s life as racing driver and German Air Force officer. “Confidential” evoked a sense of urgent departure.

Maria Chany

After a rather messy collection last season, she is back with ultra shoulder details and this season’s best hairstyles – love to see it.

Lou de Bètoly

If there was such a thing as Berlin couture, this brand would have a prime spot on the schedule.

MARKE

Just beautiful. Also all pearls belonged to the late grandmother of one of Mario’s friends, my heart can’t take it!

Richert Beil

MUTTER was a beautiful homage to the hard unseen work of mothers (and everyone) around the world. Very emotional and thought-provoking.

Haderlump

From now on the Haderlump train is the only way to travel in style. Also: Dad fit goals.

Kasia Kucharska

This collection just makes me happy to look at it. Need to invest in some pieces for the upcoming AW season.

Rebekka Ruétz

Always cool, empowering and fun. Left me energised for the rest of a very long day.

Melisa Minca

Tried to be political. Interesting concept, execution could have been less pointing fingers and more empathetic but the statement was loud and I guess that was the idea.

LUEDER

“Men are so back” tee. Many questions, many thoughts. Curious to see how this will play out.

Avenir

Avenir (French: Future). I can see the future of fashion in these collars.

Clara Colette Miramon

Show in St. Thomas church in Kreuzberg, Maria as muse, interpreted in a goth-mom way. Eerily cool show.

PLNGNS

How do you pronounce that? Is the name part of a genius PR stunt to get people guessing? It’s working!

GmbH

Title was “From Another Reality” and that describes show and collection perfectly, just look. Drooling.

Marlon Ferry

Insane collection again, please more communication through pr team next season, but still slay!

Andrej Gronau

Colours. Hat/scarves. Retro. The F in Fashion is for Fun.

PALMWINE IceCream

Can you believe I almost skipped this? The FOMO would have had me throw up. So, so cool, I need all the accessories!

William Fan

How to 10 year anniversary in style? Ask William Fan. Highest marks when it comes to location, guest list, overall smootheness, model cast (okay maybe same insane level as Marc Cain, why choose?), music and collection.

Maximilian Gedra

Art. Avantgarde. Of course Lady G is obsessed with Maximilian Gedra. 26.000 safety pins. How heavy was that dress?

Odeeh

Always scratches something in my brain. Invited us into a reconstructed atelier to embrace “The Beauty Of Creative Chaos”.

Laura Gerte

Wires, vintage tees, upcycled materials. Those turqouise boots!!!

H6

6 creatives coming together to create a beautiful experience with performative and interactive elements. The new generation of Berlin creatives. Look them up!

Der Berliner Salon

Giving established as well as younger brands a platform and always showcasing some of the most interesting creations of BFW. Open until the 23rd of February, must go again!

This was the run-through and if you made it this far, congratulations! Drop me message to let me know if you want more of these for the upcoming fashion weeks.
